Hutson made his NHL debut less than a week after the end of his season at Boston University, showing off smooth skating and stickhandling before scoring into an empty net with 25.7 seconds remaining. Rory McIlroy Serves Elk at Masters Champions Dinner

In a nod to Augusta’s attention to detail, chefs made a special visit to a New York restaurant to replicate his favourite tuna recipe.

Flames Win After Three Goals Overturned by Coach’s Challenges
The Calgary Flames had three goals wiped out by St. Louis coach’s challenges in a 2-1 shootout win over the Blues on Wednesday night. It was the first time since March 2023 that any NHL team successfully erased three goals in a single game.
Connor Zary’s reaction? “Once the third one goes, everyone just looked at each other, like, ‘are we trying to break a record here or something?’”
The Flames lost three beauties to offside and high-stick calls. One was inches outside the zone. Another was just above shoulder height. The third was offside by an inch. “You just have to laugh,” Zary said.
And laugh they did, on the bench, in the crease, and in a dressing room that somehow stayed loose through one of the strangest nights in recent Flames lore.
Despite the bizarre setback, the Flames got the win. Goalie Devin Cooley made 25 saves, Zary snapped a 10-game drought, and rookie Matvei Gridin scored the shootout winner after giving coach Ryan Huska “the hairy-eyeball on the bench,” imploring him for a shot.
Blue Jays’ José Berríos Out for Opening Day with Stress Fracture
José Berríos won’t be ready for Opening Day after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right elbow. Manager John Schneider said the 31-year-old’s visit to specialist Dr. Keith Meister produced a “relatively good report” since he “is still symptom-free.” The plan is for Berríos to take a few days off from throwing, then get back on the mound “fairly soon.” That leaves the initial rotation at opening-day starter Kevin Gausman, Dylan Cease, Cody Ponce, Max Scherzer, and one of Eric Lauer or Trey Yesavage. Berríos, known as “La Makina” (The Machine) for his remarkable durability, finished last season on the injured list with elbow inflammation.
Raptors Crush Bulls 139-109 in Professional Road Win
Toronto showed the distance between themselves and the NBA’s bottom tier with a 139-109 win over Chicago on Wednesday night. The United Center was “not very full, not very loud,” where fans have had a playoff team just once in nine years. The biggest wave of energy all night was when the Dunkin’ Donut race played out in the third quarter. Five-foot-seven Japanese point guard Yuki Kawamura hit a jumper with 4:13 left that cut the Raptors’ lead to 33, but Toronto weathered the storm.
Calgary Stampede Explores New CFL Stadium at Stampede Park
The Calgary Stampede and the Calgary Stampeders are exploring collaborating on a new stadium at Stampede Park. CEO Joel Crowley said the organization is assessing whether the Stampeders could be accommodated as part of renovations. “It’s no secret that McMahon (Stadium) is probably beyond its expiration date, and so this does contemplate that potential,” Crowley said. Built in 1960, McMahon Stadium is widely viewed as outdated. CSEC president Robert Hayes said: “If you build it, maybe they will come. I think we would have a keen interest in that.” Mayor Jeromy Farkas indicated any solution would need to work for multiple tenants to merit public funds.
Saskatchewan Roughriders Aiming for 10,000+ Fans at Saskatoon Preseason Game
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are hoping to attract more than 10,000 fans to their preseason game at Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon. “There’s about 6,000 permanent seats there, so that’d be 4,000 standing,” team president Craig Reynolds said. The Roughriders have hosted training camp in Saskatoon for years but haven’t played a game in the city, located 260 kilometres northwest of Regina, since 1991. Reynolds said season ticket renewals are “really, really high” after winning the 112th Grey Cup.
B.C. Lions Sign Illinois State QB Tommy Rittenhouse
The B.C. Lions signed American quarterback Tommy Rittenhouse, who threw for 3,568 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions at Illinois State in 2025. “Tommy is an athletic, productive quarterback that’s consistently made plays as a runner and a passer,” said GM Ryan Rigmaiden. The Lions now have four quarterbacks under contract: Nathan Rourke, Chase Brice, Gevani McCoy, and Rittenhouse.
